A Wine Goose Chase
TICKET PRICE INCLUDES WINE TASTING “A Wine Goose Chase addresses the character-absorbing solvents of alcohol without fretting over the one that’s too many” The Irish Times Susan Boyle loves wine. What’s more is she knows what’s she’s drinking and talking about. So sit back and let her pour you a glass while she takes you on a trip with the tenacious Irish people who transformed the wine world and didn’t let coming from a grape-free land stop them. A Wine Goose Chase fuses storytelling and wine tasting to present 2,000 years of Irish history. Starting with the celts, who first brought wine to these shores, via the flight of the Wine Geese, right up to new Irish wine makers working in the industry today. Following her sold out run at the Dublin Fringe Festival and Savour Kilkenny, we are delighted this one-woman theatrical performance is coming to the Irish Redhead Convention to be perfromed in this unique historical setting
“The history, decanted along with increasingly potent tastings, is fascinating” Peter Crawley The Irish Times **** “A delightful hour of wine tasting and history.” Chris O’Rourke The Examiner “At the heart of this show is something a lot less exclusive than the love of fine wines: it’s the power of personal passion that can transform the remotest of subjects into a really enjoyable evening’s entertainment” Sinead Finegan Entertainment.ie
